Rocky and Puppies

Well finally after 24 hours mom and babies are doing very well. We will be posting more photos when Dalton comes home from camp. We have 4 females(2blue and 2silver) and 2 males one of each color. Tabor lived through a horror story of a trip to the vet's office. And I will be going to town to buy a new purse and the van will be professionally cleaned on Monday. Let's just say those shots and I.V. worked really really fast! Now how many people say they delivered babies while driving?

She has started

And yes the first Elliott puppy would be a "blue colored" BOY just like Pete!

Moments in Homeschooling - Ladybug Release

_MG_9433-1

For the last 4 wks we have been raising our own baby ladybugs.  This morning we realized that our bugs were starting to die.  We were not sure why, but a quick release into the wild seemed necessary.  We wanted to find the best possible place for our little spotted friends so we searched out our most mangled flowers and tried to spot lots of aphids.  The daisies and roses were the ones that had the highest population of food for our friends and so that is where we let them go.

They immediately started eating!  The kids were out there for quite a while watching them.

Just after we placed them on the flowers, we noticed that there were already ladybug babies there!  I think our ladybugs will be pretty happy with the new digs!

It’s great to be a homeschooler!

Where did June go?

Okay...Okay no more emails and phone calls about getting the blog up to date. Between the rain events and all the wind we have been pretty busy. Tanner and Dalton have been umpiring games M-Thursday nights and are now off to Auggie Wrestling Camp until Thursday morning. Thursday morning the football bus will pick them up and then its off to Duluth for three more days of camp.

Tabor has bee working full time and enjoying learning the ropes at the mill. He has been doing his football workout at the YMCA after work each day. Only two months left and he'll be off to college. With Tanner gone this week the strawberry patch has been producing lots of berries. I think he ate 5 for every one he put in the bowl.

Dalton spent two days at Jeff Tricky QB camp in Minnetonka last Friday and Saturday. There were many kids from Iowa, Wisconsin and Canada at the camp. Each camper worked with a NCAA college QB and were taped and taught about throwing technique. Outside of the stadium there was parents and coaches who were struggling to find the right player to watch. I thought to myself....."Rookies" every ones know you find your son by looking for his shoes!

We are so waiting for the weather to straighten out so we can head back to the lake! Many of you know we have been waiting ever so patiently for Rocky to have her puppies. As I promised Dalton nothing would go on the blog until he got to see photos first. Any guesses on how many she will have? This morning it was a struggle for her to walk to the end of the driveway and back again so we are getting very close.

#1 Dad

This man is #1 in our books. We love all that he brings to our family. Laughter, love, giggles, and happiness are a regular eveyday event in our house because of him. He is our everything! Provider, chauffeur, counselor, cook, teacher, listener, handyman, and on and on. Happy Father's Day!
Some of his biggest fans!

Dream Come True

We had the amazing opportunity to spend the last week in Salt Lake City. The reason for the trip...so that hubby and daughter could record a CD entitled "Messiah in America" and perform the inspiring oratorio in the Tabernacle. It was an awesome week filled with fun, family, r & r, and a little driving.

Thanks to my awesome sis-in-law who let us crash for the week. The kids had a blast hangin with their cousin, swimming, and playing games. If I have more time and energy I'll try to post some more pics of this fun trip.

(had to delete my photos...apparently the church asks that we not post any pictures of the organ pipes..they are a copyright of the MoTab....who knew!)
